You can purchase or rent a film, send in a project or finished film, work with us, seek professional advice or call us for information about our training programmes.
rental and projections
Stefilm hold the rights for the films in the Filmography and Distribution sections (unless otherwise stated) and has exclusive rights to represent some international distribution companies in Italy. The films are available in different formats for festivals and projections. To rent a film or receive more information about this service, send an email (subject: film rental) together with a brief presentation to elena@stefilm.it.
writers and filmmakers
We are looking for documentary film projects to develop with writers and filmmakers. If you think your film fits our editorial policy, send us:
- a half page synopsis
- a half page description of the characters
- a half page description of the visuals
- a half page description of why you want to produce the film
- a one page CV

All the proposals must include:
a title, length (one-off or series), writer, email address and contact numbers.
The proposals will be evaluated every three months.
finished work
We are looking for recently completed documentaries to distribute at an international level. If you have films you would like to put forward, send an email (subject: proposal for distribution), including a description of the film and the director’s CV to: elena@stefilm.it. Do not send large attachments or video material. We will ask to see these at a later date.
working together
We are looking for researchers (bibliography, iconography, on location), writers, directors, camera operators and sound engineers, video editors, fundraisers, marketing assistants and promoters.
Send us your curriculum (subject: collaboration + area of interest) to edoardo@stefilm.it (max one page, format .doc or .rtf file). Please include a short letter to explain your reasons. Do not send photos or large attachments.
professional advice
We can help you with our know-how in the field of project development financing, budgeting, promoting and marketing documentary films, finding international partners and fund-raising at an international level.

training
We design, run and coordinate specialised training courses to improve writing, project development and production skills. We are also able to evaluate proposals and work out solutions on behalf of public and private bodies, institutions, associations and training centres.
